Recently Year 5 have been learning about Forces in Science. This week 5L were challenged to work in groups to create a boat, using their knowledge of streamlined shapes. After creating their initial designs they worked together using a range of recyclable materials to build their boat.
The children tested their boats using a stopwatch to measure how long each boat took to cross a tuff tray. While some were more successful than others, the children were able to reflect on what had worked well from their design and what changes they would make to make their boats more streamlined.
