Thomas Arnold is a happy, ambitious and inclusive school that places children at the heart of everything that is done. All in school work to support the social and emotional development of our children, to cultivate health, happiness and confidence in them and ensure they are ready and excited to take on challenge in their learning.

At Thomas Arnold we believe that a truly outstanding school is one that enables all children to achieve their best. One where academic attainment is high and the academic progress of individuals is maximised. It is a place where all children acquire the character virtues that lead to success in school and university, in work and life beyond.

To ensure this success, now and later, we have defined six core virtues that we particularly value at Thomas Arnold. These are: Love of Learning, Perseverance, Integrity, Fairness, Creativity and Zest. We work hard every day to realise these virtues.
