On Thursday 12th October year 6 took a trip to the Museum of London Docklands.
There, they explored the museum’s World War II display, crammed into an air-raid shelter and watched a documentary on Black Saturday.
Black Saturday (7 September, 1940) was the worst night of the Blitz that the East End suffered.
The trip supported Year 6’s curriculum topic World War II and their English work on Michelle Magorian’s Goodnight Mister Tom.
