Easter Fun

This week in Nursery our learning has been based around Spring and Easter. We were fascinated to learn about the life cycle of a chick as we watched a live video of a chick hatching. We created some fantastic drawings of chicks and talked about their features too.

We also continued creating, extending and describing patterns by creating our own Easter Eggs! We carefully printed our patterns using pegs and pom poms, which also developed our fine motor skills . We loved talking about our colourful creations using informal language including ‘spotty,’ and ‘stripy!’

As we made our Easter Nest cakes, we talked about the changes that occur when melting chocolate.

Our highlight of the week was an Easter Egg hunt to celebrate the end of the Spring term. We ensured we followed our motto, ‘sharing is caring,’ as we searched for our tasty treats.
