On Friday 3rd December, the whole school took part in a Sports for Schools event. We had a special guest athlete Gianni Frankis, who led our sponsored circuits and hosted a fantastic assembly for the children. Gianni is a GB hurdler who claimed a silver medal for 110m hurdles at the European Championships. The children were very excited to hear about his journey in sports and learned how he had to overcome obstacles in order to progress and succeed.
The day was spectacular and Gianni was very impressed with how well everyone did! I am pleased to announce that we raised an amazing £1725 as a school! In return for how well we all did, we will receive a voucher for £857.56 to spend on sports equipment.
