At Thomas Arnold Primary School, we believe that every child has a voice and the right to be understood. Our Total Communication Approach supports pupils to communicate using a range of methods, including speech, Makaton, Widgit symbols, visual supports, communication boards, AAC devices, gestures, and facial expressions. By embedding communication opportunities throughout the school day, we create an inclusive environment where every child can express their thoughts, needs, feelings, and ideas with confidence, independence, and success.
