Year 1 had an exciting week as we welcomed a visiting minibeast workshop to support our topic ‘Animals including humans’ this term. In science, Year 1 have been looking at different animal groups such as mammals, birds, amphibians, fish, reptiles and insects. The children were intrigued as they met a cockroach, a giant snail, a tarantula and even a snake. It was a wonderful hands‑on experience that brought our learning to life.
