Our students had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day with a day full of creativity, imagination, and engaging learning activities.
The day started with our exciting costume parade, where children proudly showcased their favourite book characters. It was fantastic to see so many colourful costumes and the enthusiasm of the students as they celebrated their love for stories and books.

Throughout the day, pupils took part in a range of interactive activities inspired by traditional nursery rhymes and stories. These hands-on experiences helped bring familiar rhymes to life while supporting language development, sensory exploration, and creativity.

Some of the activities included:
- 🕷 “Incy Wincy Spider” sensory play, where students explored a spider web activity, moving spiders along the web and developing fine motor skills.
- 🐒 “Five Little Monkeys” activities, encouraging counting, sequencing, and storytelling through play.
- 🎨 Creative and sensory tasks that helped students engage with the rhythm and repetition of nursery rhymes.

The activities allowed students to explore stories in a fun, multisensory way, encouraging participation, communication, and collaboration with their peers.
World Book Day was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate reading and storytelling, and we are very proud of the enthusiasm and creativity shown by all of our pupils.
A big thank you to our staff and families for helping make the day so special!
