This week in Nursery, we have been reading ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar,’ by Eric Carle. We have been answering questions about the story like, ‘Why do you think the caterpillar had a stomach ache?’ We represented the stages of the lifecycle using pasta shapes, rolled some caterpillar shapes using playdough and printed butterflies. Finally, we talked about healthy and unhealthy foods, sorted these into groups and made a fruit salad with our friends. We cannot wait to see our caterpillars turn into butterflies!
