Our Year 5 scientists have been investigating solubility and exploring what happens when different materials are mixed with water. The children planned and carried out their own fair tests, carefully observing and recording what happened to each material.
They compared their results and grouped materials according to how soluble they were, before using the evidence they collected to draw conclusions. This hands-on investigation gave the children the opportunity to develop their scientific enquiry skills while thinking like real scientists!
