Our Nursery children have been busy exploring the world around them using all of their senses! We have enjoyed a wonderful range of hands-on experiences, giving the children opportunities to investigate, create, imagine and learn through play.
In our tuff tray, the children explored colourful rainbow rice, using scoops and pom poms to pour, fill, transfer and investigate. They enjoyed feeling the different textures, noticing the bright colours and developing their fine motor skills as they carefully used the tools.
Outdoors, the children have been discovering the sandpit, exploring how the sand feels and moves as they scoop, dig, pour and build. We have also been getting creative with nature, carefully cutting leaves and noticing their different shapes, colours and textures.
Our mud kitchen has been a particular favourite in the outdoor area! The children have been busy making imaginative recipes using mud, leaves, water and natural materials. They have mixed, stirred and served their creations, developing their language, imagination and social skills along the way.
We are excited to see where their curiosity takes them next!
