As part of their work on the classroom book There’s a Rang-tan in My Bedroom, the children became expert orangutan detectives, working in teams to uncover fascinating facts about these amazing animals. The classroom buzzed with excitement as groups discovered that orangutans spend much of their time swinging through trees, have incredibly long arms, and are among the most intelligent creatures in the animal kingdom. During their presentations, some children became so enthusiastic that they demonstrated orangutan movements, while others shared surprising facts with the confidence of wildlife television presenters. By the end of the lesson, everyone agreed that orangutans are remarkable animals—although thankfully none of them had actually moved into anyone’s bedroom!
