This week in Year 4, pupils have been using freeze frames to support their creative writing. A freeze frame is a drama technique where children pause in a still position to represent a key moment in a story.
By stepping into their characters’ shoes thinking about facial expressions, body language, and emotions, children in 4K were able to explore different points of view and deepen their understanding of the story.
This activity has been a fantastic way to encourage rich vocabulary, empathy, and imagination, all of which support their writing in role.
