Science – Nutritional Food

In RE, Year 3 have been exploring stories with important morals and messages. The children discussed the lessons these stories can teach us and considered how we can apply these ideas to our own lives. They enjoyed sharing their thoughts, listening to different perspectives and reflecting on how positive values can guide our choices and actions.
Maths – Exploring Place Value

In Maths, Year 3 have been developing their understanding of place value using Dienes blocks. The children used practical resources to represent numbers, identify the value of each digit and explore exchanging between ones, tens and hundreds. This hands-on approach helped them to see how numbers are built and understand how exchanging changes the value of each place.
Geography – Locating European Countries

In Geography, Year 3 have been developing their map skills by using atlases to locate and identify countries across Europe. The children enjoyed exploring different maps, finding countries and learning about their locations within the continent.
