Year 5 – Computing

Year 5 explored filming angles in a computing lesson by experimenting with different camera positions and shots. They filmed short clips using a range of angles and discussed how each one changed the way a scene looked and felt. By reviewing their footage, the pupils learned how filming angles can influence mood, focus, and storytelling.
Year 5 – Gymnastics

Year 5 took part in a gymnastics lesson where they worked in pairs to explore counter balance and counter tension. They experimented with different partner shapes and movements to stay stable and controlled. Through practice and discussion, the pupils learned how teamwork, strength, and communication help create effective balanced sequences.
MathsMagic Workshop!

Pupils took part in MathsMagic assemblies and a variety of practical, hands-on learning experiences that demonstrated how numbers and problem-solving are used in everyday life. These activities were designed to deepen mathematical understanding while promoting a positive and confident approach to maths. We were thrilled to welcome David Hall, who led assemblies and workshops across the school. Through storytelling and engaging activities, he explored the history of mathematics and highlight its importance and real-world applications.
