Before Christmas, Year 3 had been exploring Ancient Egypt in their history lessons and showcased their fantastic pyramid projects. Pupils learned that pyramids were built thousands of years ago as tombs for pharaohs and were constructed using large stone blocks over many years.
As part of their home learning, the children designed and created their own pyramids using a range of materials including cardboard, paper and recycled resources. Throughout the project, they developed key skills such as measuring, cutting, problem solving and creativity, while carefully thinking about shape and structure.
The children were extremely proud of their finished pyramids, with every model being unique. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm, effort and hard work on display.
