The children stepped back in time to experience a Victorian-style school day. During their English lesson, they endured a fingernail inspection, recited a Victorian poem, and practised writing their names in proper Victorian handwriting (no biros allowed!).

Maths followed, where the children tackled traditional Victorian word problems and bravely recited their two times tables. They then took part in a Victorian P.E. lesson and unanimously agreed that modern P.E. lessons are far more enjoyable.

In the afternoon, the children explored the games Victorian children used to play and even created their own toys, including a thaumatrope and a cup and ball—proving that fun existed even before screens
