This week in 4K, we have been exploring fractions of a whole through hands-on learning with a range of manipulatives. By cutting, building, sharing, and arranging objects, children began to make connections how wholes could be divided into equal parts and how different fractions related to one another. This practical approach supported children in developing their understanding of fractions and it was great to see the growing confidence children showed in explaining their thinking using mathematical language. Well done 4K!
