Science Comes Alive for Year 2 at the Natural History Museum

As part of their Science topic on Plants and Living Things and their Habitats, our intrepid Year 2 explorers swapped the classroom for the great (and slightly muddy) outdoors on an action-packed trip to the Natural History Museum! Armed with magnifying glasses and boundless curiosity, they joined a hands-on Minibeast workshop — bravely hunting for bugs, studying plants up close, and comparing creatures who prefer the shade of a log to those who fancy a sunnier spot. After investigating the tiny, it was time to marvel at the mighty! The children wandered through the museum’s awe-inspiring exhibitions, coming face-to-face with towering dinosaurs, dazzling gems, and enough fascinating facts to fill a rainforest. It was a fun-filled, fact-finding adventure where Science truly came to life — and thankfully, no bugs hitched a ride home on the train!
