TAPS is 100 – Notting Hill Carnival

In Year 5, pupils have been learning about the Windrush generation and how people from the Caribbean came to Britain in the 1950s and 60s to help rebuild the country. They discovered how these communities faced racism but stayed strong, and how the Notting Hill Carnival began as a joyful way to celebrate Caribbean culture. As part of their learning, Year 5 have created colourful carnival masks to reflect the music, dance, and traditions of the Windrush generation.
