ARP Garden Visit – Part 2: Dig, Plant, Grow!

Our ARP learners were back at the community garden this week for Part 2 of our outdoor learning project and this time, we got our hands dirty!

Equipped with trowels, watering cans, and big smiles, the children worked together to dig the soil, plant colourful flowers, and water their new garden beds. It was more than just a planting session. It was a fantastic opportunity to develop communication, independence, teamwork, and sensory exploration through real-life learning.

The children were supported in:

  • Following instructions
  • Developing fine motor skills
  • Engaging with nature
  • Taking pride in shared responsibilities

Staff guided learners gently while promoting choice-making, peer interaction, and lots of celebration for every planted flower.

We are so proud of our ARP students. Their engagement and enthusiasm were truly blooming!

Thank you to our amazing team and the community garden for making this possible again.

Stay tuned for our next green adventure on Friday 23rd May.
