Our Year 5 pupils have had a fabulous second day at Trewern. The children were split into two groups. Some children had a scenic picnic in the Welsh countryside and then went on to The Big Pit to learn about the history of coal mining in Wales, before heading 90m below ground into the mine. The other group went to local farm, where they got to cuddle and feed newly born lambs. Afterwards they headed to the gorge; spending the afternoon walking through the river, and sitting under and sliding down waterfalls. Tonight, the children will complete an orienteering course, within the grounds, head torches will be a must for this activity. Have a look at the fun we have had today.
