As part of their science topic, Evolution and Inheritance, Year 6 have been considering how birds beaks have adapted in order for them to survive over time.
Using couscous to represent seeds and chopsticks and tweezers to represent birds beaks, the children took turns to see how many seeds they could collect in 30 seconds.
As scientists, they made predictions, recorded their data and drew conclusions.
