As we approach the Christmas holidays, it’s time to reflect on the incredible journey our students have been on since September. This term’s focus, “All About Me,” has provided a meaningful and engaging foundation for our learning. The children explored their emotions, preferences, and the world around them, setting the stage for building connections and understanding themselves.

From early developmental learning in our pre-formal pathways to discovering personal strengths in our semi-formal groups, every child has embraced the autumn term’s learning opportunities with enthusiasm. Highlights included:
- Pre-Formal Pathway: Students developed their ability to engage with familiar routines and explore their environment through sensory stories and activities. Key concepts such as “stop,” “go,” and “big” were introduced, helping students connect with their surroundings and build foundational skills.
- Semi-Formal Explorers: Our learners celebrated their uniqueness by identifying likes and dislikes, exploring personal interests, and building relationships through shared activities. This pathway also introduced traditional tales like The Three Little Pigs, fostering joint attention and interactive storytelling.
- Semi-Formal Challengers: Learners grew in confidence and independence, recognizing their names, exploring emotions, and developing fine motor skills through art projects and cooking activities. They especially enjoyed role-playing scenes from traditional tales and engaging in collaborative team-building exercises.

As we look ahead to the festive season, we’re incredibly proud of all the progress our students have made. Thank you to our dedicated staff and supportive families for helping make this term so memorable. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We look forward to welcoming everyone back in January 6th for an exciting new term.
Warm wishes,
TAPS ARP team
