Year 2 have been learning about the life cycles of different living things in Science. They are aware that some living things go through a complete transformation and their body shape changes entirely. This is called metamorphosis. To observe this process more closely, we have been looking after caterpillars and have watched them grow into beautiful butterflies.
Miss O’Toole and Miss Davey took them home to ensure that they stayed healthy and well-fed during the half term. When they were ready to be released, we went into the playground and watched them flutter off into the sky.
