World Book Day

Nursery loved celebrating World Book Day! The children dressed up as their favourite book character and watched some of the older children as they participated in a fashion show around the school to showcase their fabulous costumes!

We were very lucky to have a visit from a Storyteller named Chip who told us about a character called Ming Lo. Chip engaged the children using props, actions and lots of humour! Nursery listened beautifully as Chip told his tales.

Throughout the day, the children completed lots of activities linked to our text this week, ‘Superworm,’ by Julia Donaldson. We particularly enjoyed Superworm threading and collaging. We even learnt the Superworm chant and got to watch a version of the story online.
