Home Learning

Welcome to Year 4 home learning

Good morning Year 4!

I hope you are all well.

As you know, your home learning tasks for this week were the work pack that you took home on Friday. If you weren’t in on Friday, your parents/carers should have received a parent mail reminding them to pick them up from the school office. It  is not too late if you still haven’t got yours – swing by today and pick it up.

From next week, home learning will be posted here daily.

I will upload daily Reading, Writing and Maths tasks to complete at home.

It’s a good idea to sit down with your parents/carers and make a timetable for your day.

Having a timetable means that everything gets done, there is a good structure to your day (just like at school), and it will help your parents/carers work out when they can help you with your learning, if you need it. It is not a good idea to do your learning all in one go.

We recommend you start your day doing PE with Joe Wicks – P.E with Joe Wicks.  Then complete your Reading task, then your Maths task, then your Writing task. Make sure you have a 15 minute break to have a drink or a run around – this will help you maintain your focus.

IPC and Science

I will also be uploading your IPC and Science learning on Monday morning. It is up to you to work out when its best to do these over the course of the week. Its a good idea that you plan ahead – for example if you have a task that means you need to be in the garden, then its a good idea to do it when its not raining. Or if you need to use some junk modelling, it would be a good idea to wait until you have enough recycling to use.

Contacting your teacher

If you have done a piece of learning that you are especially proud of – please take a photo of it and email it to year4@thomasarnold.bardaglea.org.uk .

You and your parents/carers can also use this email address to ask your teacher questions about your tasks or help you access your home learning.

Make sure that you have your logins for PurpleMash and timetables rock stars.
