Dear Parents and pupils,
(Children please read this with a grown up).
As of this week your teachers will be uploading your home learning onto Purple Mash. We will still be planning all of the lessons that we were previously, but instead of clicking on any learning links here, they have been set in your todos on your purple mash account. Please make sure that if you do not already know what your log in details are, that you contact your teacher today so that you will be able to access your work. You can do this using the year 1 email address.
email address: email@example.com
If you are going to be returning or are already in school, then you will be completing your work in school with a teacher.
Each day your activities will be made available through Purple Mash, just as it has been through the school website, however, not all of your work will be computer based. For example we will still be asking you to complete some written work, but thePowerPoint to help you will now be saved on Purple Mash. If you have not already had a call from your teacherlast week then they will be calling you this week and you can have a chat with them about anything you are finding difficult. This week is a chance for us all to practise using Purple Mash to do our work, from the week beginning the 15th June you will all be expected to complete your tasks on Purple Mash and save them as we have practised in school. If you have forgotten how to do this, please don’t worry, I have included some pictures below that show you how.
Click on the todo icon as shown below:
When you have finished your work click on the red arrow at the top of the page.
Then click on the save and exit button.
Another box will pop up and you will need to write your name at the bottom before clicking save.
Once you have clicked save your teacher will be able to see your work when they log in.
Some of your work will need to be uploaded. An adult may need to help you to do this. Take a photo of your work once it is completed and click on the upload work button.
Now a box will appear where you can drag and drop your photo or a file to show your completed work.
Click done and then ok, it will be sved as your name.
Now you should be able to see a hand in button, click on it and you can writie a message to your teacher about your work.
Please try to upload at least 3 pieces of work a week to share with your teacher.
From the 15th June Mr McGee, Miss O’Kelly and myself will be back in school full time and Miss Dominique will continue to help you from home. If you have any problems regarding any of your work we would like you to use the 1M and 1O blogs on Purple Mash, and then Miss Dominique will answer your concerns on there. If you need to ask your teacher about something then Miss Dominique will let them know and your teacher will try to get back to you as soon as they can. Miss Dominique will also be contacting you if you have not managed to complete any of your todos, to see how you are getting on with your home learning.
Remember this week is a practise on Purple Mash, so try to get as many of your todos done as you can and that way we will be able to improve or change anything before next week begins.
It has been lovely to hear from so many of you and see all of the work that you have been sending in via email, I look forward to receiving more from you on Purple Mash.
Take care and stay safe, hopefully we will all see each other again soon,
